What Shall I Draw Today -final project idea #1-
re: getting to know my classmates
I’ve been thinking quite a bit about how to make a piece as interactive as it possibly can be within a digital space.
With the last two projects I’ve created I felt as if I created them on too much of a whim. So now I’m tracing roots. One of my bedroom walls is absolutely covered with drawings and paintings (right on the wall), so I figured I could do the same.
I would create a blog “WHAT SHALL I DRAW TODAY” and people (preferably all of you) would post at least one thing or paragraph or sentence that conveys your emotion for one day. I would then use my kevin lenses and translate that to a drawing on my bedroom wall.
The point of using classmates is because of the evident lack of communication between us all on our projects! So I figure I can somehow embed you all to the walls of my bedroom without literally drawing a picture of you.
I figure I could also use some sort of proportional symbols that convey intensity of emotion (maybe i could know this by you guys putting 1 to 5 stars on your post ***?).
I would take pictures of the process (the wall) and eventually show them in a linear fashion, or in tiny boxes framed tightly together.Since I’m using my kevin lense, it will be interesting to see how one person conveys something. A larger scale project would be to have everyone do it for each other, but using a simpler symbol system so as to be able to look at things in relativity to one another…
Anyways…it’s just one of my ideas, tell me what you think, and if you’ll be up to posting at least one thing for me. (I have not made the blog yet, I’ll let you know when and if I do).
I might even call it “classroom portraits” or “biased/my classroom portraits”
