Environment Infographics and Transparency Questions
By mackenziedarrach on November 2nd, 2009, 1:17 am 3 Comments
When looking at pieces for the environmental aspect of the infographics project, I found a couple videos made by Discovery Channel on youtube. One i really liked is ‘tree+tree’ . It really makes the point clear that everyone has an effect on the environment, and if everyone just did these simple things like using recycled paper for a month, we could save hundreds of acres of trees.
The second part of this post is just me being confused and kind of needing help. I initially came up with the idea of using transparent paper (like the stuff they used in high school for the overhead projector) to overlay my images to combine all 3 issues into one. As i’ve been working now im thinking it might be easier to just do this is photoshop..but I dont know how eligible the information will be. does anyone have any ideas / thoughts on how i could do this or should i just be sticking to the transparent paper idea?

Transparency: The Most Homicidal Countries

This Infographic displays which countries you are most likely to be murdered in and which countries have the least homicide rates. The image displays the murder per 100,100 people. I think this is an interesting infographic and might give people some ideas. Click on the image to see it in full size.
