Simple Algorithms by Gottfried Haider
Hello Everyone! I have found sooo much data this one week and will have lots of interesting artist to update you guys on shortly. But for now, it is this amazing piece that is a mix of computer programming and art…which obviously can intertwine and make amazing and wonderful things.
As asked, I did look up some stuff of Cory Arcangel’s work, and then I stumbled on an digital media artist called Paul B. Davis (who I will probably do a blog on next time), and then from the same website that I found Paul B. Davis, I found this really amazing and interesting artist from Vienna called Gottfried Haider.
Gottfried Haideris a artist who’s interest is in computer art and media. He enjoys algorithms (which is basically just rules or a rule on how to solve a problem very precisely), along with the spacial aspect that goes along with it; including numeration and manipulation.
These pictures that he did, entitled Simple Algorithms is trying to figure out the right amount of space, which led to a creation of a scanning device. With this particular project, some technical things were done with a line-laser, a high- level programming language, and then used triangular shapes to make actual shapes of people and surfaces. I thought this would be an interesting piece to show everyone because I found it so interesting and fascinating that I had to share it with you all!
Check out his page to find more absorbing and absolutely creative stuff.
