®TMark ( pronounced ‘Art Mark’) is an art-activist group of five anonymous members. Some people consider their work as pranks on companies, exposing the flaws in the corporate world. They are trying to enlighten the public on issues that effect their lives rather than expanding their wallets like most corporations.
Upon visiting their website,www.rtmark.com , I found some very interesting projects. I did not go through all of them because there are so many but a few that caught my attention were ‘Show what happens’ , ‘Radioactive cereal boxes’ , ‘The growth of peace’ , and ‘Report mutant fruit and veggies’. The idea behind ‘ Report mutant fruit and veggies’ is very important because it deals with a food. For some time now, corporations has been genetically altering our food, changing the genes and modifying what mother nature gave us. I find this a little unnerving because no one knows the long term effects of injecting animals with hormones or the damages of creating a super veggie will have on us or the environment. Art Mark project on this issue entailed creating authentic looking videos and photos to bring to the media. Report sighting of the mutant food and show documentation to get attention on the issue.
Art Mark does a lot more than look at issues dealing with biological property. They accepted ideas from other people. Art Mark has projects ranging from the war, corporate law, health and education and even the media.
